New version release - ascii replaced with graphical tiles
The Red Prison » Devlog
The Red Prison has left behind its ascii past and now uses graphical tiles.
The whole user interface has been reworked from scratch and while the game is still a work-in-progress, the graphical mode is finished and up to date with the rest of the features. Here's an example of what gameplay looks like now:

So there will be no ASCII releases in the future?
The current version doesn’t have an ASCII version enabled but the workings of it all are still in place behind the scenes.
I’ll take a look at it this week and try and re-implement it through the new graphics library - hopefully it won’t take too much time! This version was just about getting out a working graphical build, and now that’s done I can think about other things. So expect the return of ASCII by next Saturday!
